Currently, the British company Birchcroft is recognized as the largest manufacturer in the world. The company produces fine porcelain thimbles on many themes.

 The company was founded 30 years ago by Tony Forbes and is still a family business. The company is located in STOKE-ON-TRENT, ENGLAND.
The Birchcroft name has become well known among collectors around the world. There is now a collectors club with many thousands of members in different countries. For example, Australia, Africa, Canada, Eurora, USA.

Most thimbles are limited to 250 or fewer. And therefore they are very valuable among collectors.
